Cloning Drive

I have Vista where I want it, everything is working smoothly. I have Vista
Premium and want to clone my hard drive. Any suggestions on a program to do
this?
Thanks

I like Acronis True Image and routinely use it to image my own Windows
machines and clients'. You can store the images on an external hard drive.

You can buy Norton Ghost 12 (or 14 may be available soon, no version 13 for
some odd reason).

My personal favorite is Acronis True Image.

Either Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost. Also, for a free one (and a whole
lot more utilities) check out the Ultimate Boot CD (www.ultimatebootcd.com).
I has quite a few disk cloning utilities.

Have you ever cloned the partition in which Vista resides
and which the Vista installer created, and then moved just
that partition to another partition position and tried to boot
it? There seems to be a new feature of Vista-created
partitions which involve some kind of 2K byte offset which
gets in the way of cloning and "sliding" Vista partitions.

No, I haven't. More info on this would be appreciated.

A Scottish fellow named "McTavish" wrote this, and I've
not found a better analysis of the new Vista partition addressing scheme:
http://www.multibooters.co.uk/ . It's a monumental read, but
worth it if you do a lot of Vista partition management.

Thanks. No time now, but I hope to read it in the next day or two,
even though I *don't* do a lot of Vista partition management.
