Clone XP to a larger disk using Ghost 2002

I have read a lot of success stories here. Unfortunately I am running
into problem too.

I am trying to clone a 20G disk to a 12G disk with 2 x 60G partitions.
I tried to clone using Ghost 2002 under DOS from partition to
partition. Everything seemed to work just fine, and I removed the old
harddisk after the cloning. System started up with the logon prompt.
Entering as Administrator, and the XP logged me off immediately.
Booted into the safe mode, and the same thing happended to me.

Just in case that it makes a different, my machine is a Compaq EVO
D500.

Any idea what has gone wrong?

Regards,
Antonio

I don't know the model, but there is a 'break point' at 32 GB which may
need a BIOS upgrade for any larger disk than that to be used

Well, I am very much sure that the 32GB limit does not apply to this
machine BIOS. I can install the OS on a single 120GB partition with
no problem.
