I just installed xp pro on a computer that has 2 almost identical hard
drives. I installed it on the wrong hard drive. is there an easy, free,
way I can copy my installation to the other drive, or do I need to
re-install xp? I know re-installation is probably easier, but I already
activated the software, and I'm trying to avoid going through the hassle of
calling MS and having them un-activate it, so I can use the same key again.

Thanks, Andre

Just reinstall on the correct drive. Activate over the internet. If it doesn't activate call MS, the # will be on the screen.

A 5 minute phone call is not too much of a hassle.

You cannot change the drive letter on the system drive. You should do the
installation over again. You should disconnect the second hard drive before
installation to be sure you get it right and then reformat the second drive
after reconnecting it.

Thanks for the advice - that's what I ended up doing.
