clipboard lost file

I had "cut" a file on to the clipboad. Just then the
phone rang so I tried to paste the file in to a folder
and went to the phone, but when I got back I could find
the file anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
Sorry I can't help but that is why I use copy instead of cut. After copy I
then delete the original.
