Nice work Cliff, I enjoy your weekly newsletter. :)
What ever happened to the DriveImageXML review? This program was probably
my best new find for last year, and it came from your newsletter, I think?

I read it too, this issue.
Valuable tips about program I have not seen before. Thanks Clif.
Read the ten commandments and I missed an important rule for beginners:

When your computer tells you you have to install this and that program
or upgrade, don't believe it. Don't click yes without careful
consideration and maybe getting some advice from more experienced
people.

"Your computer" can be a web site telling you to install quick time,
for example, and your more experienced friend who help you will swear a
lot before he gets that crap out of your system.

What you see as your computer speaking to you can be a web designer ( a
13 year old boy) telling you to do things which are not good for your
computer.

Following Clif's advice I installed the best freeware screensaver I
have ever seen.
Really good graphics and a lot of settings:

http://www.adamdawes.com/windows/win_scr_polymorf3d.html

If you loioke this kind of screensaver you should try
http://shaze.ca/download.php?cat=4&ref=0&subref=0

You get a feel for what they look, like here: http://www.reallyslick.com/

And you need OpenGL to run it.

If people that are not that fond of PCs are impressed

Great, thanks. Very nice graphics.

User notes: I had to copy the scr files manually to windows folder.
Otherwise the installation went very well, and quick.
No reboot necessary. (I tried it on win98se.)
OpenGl included in the install file.

Some of the savers took up to 20 seconds to start,
a lot of number crunching, of course.
Patience recommended.
