Client cannot connect to an Exchange Server

I have one client on my network that cannot connect to the
exchange server. The client station is WinXP.SP1 and is
authenticated to the domain. When Outlook XP is launched,
the system prompts for the user id (the client is set to
use password authentication). The user keys the password
and the system responds that the logon information is
incorrect, check the username, password or domain. This
occurs on any user id entered, including the administrator.
I have not found anything that can help me resolve this
problem. The user can connect using OWA.

In WinXP, you don't get the domain field - so enter the username as
DOMAIN\username.

I too have this problem with one of our employees. I
have deleted her profile and removed all files associated
with the profile and then logged in with her user name so
that profile is autocreated, still does not work. I
logged in with my user name on her PC and it worked under
my profile on her PC. This is very weird.

I have the same problem. I get a box requireing me to
enter Log on Name, Password, Domain. All of which is
correct. The only computer with this problem is the
computer with XP, all other Windows 2000 computers work
fine.

I have the exact same problem as the below, including same
Win98 OS. I have tried everything listed below, and also
get a message about the Global Address Server not being
found, ...when I know it is referencing the correct one.
