Hi all,

I got a brand new laptop (Toshiba M40 / Win XP SP2) I want to use with an
USB EDIROL UA-25.
The problem is I get some drops (mostly very short clicks) in audio while
playing, whatever the application (Quicktime, MediaPlayer, Winamp, ...).
Did someone actually fixed this issue ?
- BIOS update ?
- USB windows layer update ?
- Is there somewhere in registry where I can change any parameter (buffer
size, latency, ...)

CPU seems not to be faulty, as it stays more or less between 0 and 10%.
Thanks for any advice.

You can try turning off the infrared device in the laptop if you aren't
using it. I *think* you might be able to do it in the BIOS settings. This
is just a wild guess on my part. But that was a solution on an older
Toshiba laptop I remember implementing for a friend.

Found a workaround that get rid of the issue : switched from ACPI mode to
Standard PC mode.
