"Clicking" sound in IE 6.0 gone.

Not a big problem, but...annoying one.
The "click" sound when I click on hyperlinks is gone from
IE 6.0. Sound card and speakers works correctly, I can
still hear correctly other music and sounds, including
Win XP Pro system sounds.
Any idea where to look for the problem?
Thanks in advance.

I checked "control pannel"/"sounds and audio devices
properties" in win xp and there is no entry for "internet
explorer" in mine to change sound settings from there...
so I think you go to your browser, "tools", "internet
options", then the "advanced" tab... read down that list
and it might be listed somewhere in the "browsing"
or "multimedia" section.
Just a suggestion, not sure it will work. I don't have
any sounds either but I like it that way.
Peace,
Brian

Control Panel-Sounds
"Start Navigation" and "Complete Navigation" are the relevant items.

You are looking for "Navigation" sounds in start>settings>control
panel>sounds an multimedia.

The click sound is called "Start.wav" or something like that.

Have you looked at "Control Panel, Sounds and Audio devices, Sounds". Scroll
down to "Windows Explorer, Start Navigation". In the "Sounds" box it should
say "Windows XP start.wav, if not, then browse your "Media " folder and
select that file.
Happy clicks.
