Clicking on Links in Msn Messenger Causes Screen To Freeze

for a while now i haven't been able to click on links in
my msn messenger box. when you click to say check a
profile or checkyour hotmail the screen freezes and won't
load. there is no error messages and i've run
antiviruses and spybot. tried uninstalling and
reinstalling to no avail.

Any help would be great, thanks

Is your Internet Explorer your default internet browser?

If not try following the steps below:

1) Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
2) "Set Program Access and Defaults" and set Microsoft Internet Explorer the
default web browser.

There you have it. Hope it works!
