Clicking noise when starting

My computer just started making clicking noise before start up. When I use
the turn on button and signal goes from PC to monitor on text screen it says
"Verifing data..." (which it always does but the noise started today) and
then the clicking starts for 3/4 seconds. Any ideas?

Thank you

"Clicking" from where? Try to pinpoint the source of the noise. If they
don't die outright, hard drives will get clackety before they fail. If
you're lucky enough to get clicking noises, replace the drive ASAP.

But a little bit of some foreign object caught in one of the fans could
click too...

You need to figure out what exactly is clicking - then decide what to do
from there.
