click to url with anchor

Hello.

I try click to link in mail, with anchor: http:\\abc.com#def, and get IE
open to http:\\abc.com. Why, when on open url, anchor not send to app?
 
That's a bug in WinMail and they didn't fix it in Vista SP1.

I just tested this in the latest WLM beta, and it still fails. :-(
I'll submit another bug report, but I'm sure it will be shot down.
 
That is a very important issue for the users, but I guess MS could care less
about whether or not it breaks fundamental HTML rules.

They won't get any money for fixing it, so don't bother.

Well, that was quick. Within hours of submitting that bug
report I received the response "Won't Fix".

Timetables must be adhered to! I guess they are close to
shoving a product out the door, ready or not. ;-)
 
This was a bug from the beta of Vista over 2 years ago. What timetable???

Its just another example of "There is no Q in Microsoft".

I don't participate in that beta. That they closed the bug was typical of
them. As long as they can dump their software on people and people use it,
I guess the concept of software quality is not of any consideration to them.
