And what if you are using a version of Outlook earlier than the 2003
version? OL2003+ added the option to minimize to a system tray icon.
OL2002 required a registry hack to allow the Minimize function to
minimize to a tray icon but exiting OL2002 still had it exit instead of
minimize. You did not mention WHICH version of Outlook that you use.
If using OL2003+, did you actually enable the option to minimize to a
system tray icon? Just HOW are you trying to minimize Outlook (i.e.,
what do you click)?
Right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and uncheck "Hide When
Minimized".
