CLI. exe, "Registered JIT Debugger is not available" ??

Have XP with SP2 on a new Athlon 64. After boot up am now getting error msgs:
"cli.exe Common Language Runtime Debugging Services" ," Application has
generated an exception that could not be handled" Process id=0xbb0 (2992)
Thread id= 0xbb4 (2996)
Then "Registered JIT debugger is not available" "cordbg.exe !a0x630"
How can I fix this? This problem has also been reported on www.got
dotnet.com msg boards. I dont know yet how to modify the registry key if
thats required, nor how to get there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
