ClearType Control in IE?

B

Bill

Is there any ClearType control available in IE?

Such as, is ClearType turned on, or can I turn it off for fonts on a page, etc?

Thanks!

Bill.

Clear Type is a feature of Windows, not solely Internet Explorer, and
affects all programs that run on Windows. To turn Clear Type on go to
Control Panel > Display > Appearance tab > Effects button > check mark
in 'Use the following method to smooth edges...Clear Type'.

To customize the effect, install Microsoft's Clear Type Tuner power toy
at: http://www.microsoft.com/typography/ClearTypePowerToy.mspx

Well, can't remote connect to a visitor's computer to enable/disable ClearType, can I,
so I need something else...

I found this object in some client VBScript on a website:

set tmp = CreateObject("ClearAdjust.CTAdjust.1")

but I can't find any documentation on it.

I also found this:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="CLEARTYPE">

to turn ClearType on, but it's for Windows CE.
