How do you remove the temp files Document2, Document3,.. Document16 from the
machine?

I saw http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;135073 and I
am using Outlook for my mail.

This is just a nuisance as I am currently at Document16 even if I close out
of Word and Outlook and then reopen them.

Any help in finding the temp files that I can remove to bring Documents back
to Document1 would be helpful.

Thank you,
David

This is a duplicate of "SUBJECT: Opening Word causes new Document2,
Document3, etc.". I apologize there was an issue where newsgroup said it
wasn't saved and asked me to attempt again later.

Suzanne has pointed to a fix, but this is occurring either because you are
not closing Word and/or Windows properly or because Word is crashing. The
former is easy to fix, but if Word is crashing you need to investigate why.

The error message is referring to the "Notification" getting posted in
your profile rather than your newsgroup post. (Yeah, the message is
far from clear!)

Should you encounter the message again disregard, log off and log back
on, and locate your post later and use the "Notify me of Replies"
option if you want to receive notifications for replies.

If this becomes a nuisance then try using the Office portal, which
should have this issue rectified, to access the newsgroups instead:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...&cr=US&dg=microsoft.public.word.docmanagement

If you are already using the Office portal and are encountering the
error message then please let us know so we can pass this information
on to Microsoft.
