Clearing IE history

is it possible to clear history items in IE one by one, instead of clearing
the whole history in one go?

Yes

start>run and type

regedit

locate the key

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedUrls

In the right-hand pane, delete whatever URL you would like. Looking at Porn,
LOL.

I've seen that deleting the typed url in the registry, clears the typed urls
in the drop down list, but the web sites are still visible and accessible in
the History. Is there a way to delete them also from there?

right click on the URL and select delete in the history bar.
