Clearing history in address bar

How do I clear the address bar from bringing up past sites
visited. For instance, when I type "www.t" (before
finishing address) it brings up past sites that start
with "t". I would like to delete all history of past
sites visited.

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Clear History.

Delete the History folder and index.dat:

RJ,
If clearing the History from Internet Options> General doesn't clear these,
you should delete the History folder.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
