Clearing Document List not Recent Program List

I'm trying to clear the "My Recent Documents" list, not
the most recently used programs list. So Right clicking
on the Start button, customize button, clear button, does
not clear the "My Recent Documents" list.

How do I clear the the "My Recent Documents" list?
 
windows "xp" style start properties
start menu tab -> customize button
1. advanced tab = clear documents
2. general tab = clear programs

classic style menu might be different
 
Guess what?
You can even keep "both" documents and programs list from
even appearing. wow.....

Personal thought......know you don't care but....
Only things on my xp style start button menu are:
'all programs'
'my computer'

This makes for a small menu.
All other features accessed using keyboard combos.

lots of stuff there.
