I use a third party cookie manager: Cookie Pal. I've used it since Windows 95, and it has
had free updates for every version of Windows since. The first week or so it is
irritating when the dialog box comes up and asks if you want to accept cookies from the
site now, always or never. But after a while when you've visited your most frequented
sites, the dialog boxes come up less and less. Some sites can put more than 100 cookies
on your drive. When you opt for no, or never, Cookie Pal sends back a false positive that
you have accepted the cookie. That works for most sites. The ones that refuse, I make
the decision whether or not I really have to open that page. When you right click the
Cookie Pal icon in the Notification Area (formerly System Tray) and left click Show, you
can manage your cookie filters, delete unwanted cookies etc.. Just being online for about
an hour or so, I moved my mouse arrow over the Cookie Pal icon and the stats say I've
rejected 463 cookies and accepted 27. When I look at my list of cookies, I know which
ones to keep (the ones with password info etc. like msn.hotmail.com, ebay.com etc.). I
wouldn't be without Cookie Pal. You can download a 30 day trial version, and see if you
like it. It only costs $15. Like I wrote, I've been using Cookie Pal since Windows 95,
and find it the easiest way to deal with cookies. You can download the trial version at:
