I keep clearing out mt cache the old fashioned way (deleted temp
internet files from tools and internet drop down bar) But this darn
new Google Desktop keeps pulling up pages I want deleted! Even after I
clear. What can I do short of disabling google desktop entirely.

Open IE, tools, options, Content Tab, AutoComplete button, Clear
auto-complete,

Download more headers, Mark Ferguson answered you eight hours ago.

I did read Mark's help and that does not appear to work withthe NEW
Google DESKTOP program. I cleared, per Mark's instructions, and then
went to Google desktop, typed in a word and every page I have visited
with that word popped up. Must be a way to clean this out, no? Is
there a good Google group?

Hi David,

Then you should have replied to Mark and stated that - how else will anyone
know that it didn't help and that you were still seeking an answer? I don't
use the desktop tool, but there are some articles in the FAQ that may help:

No matter. I deinstalled the Google Desktop. The privacy concerns
outweighed the cleverness of the device. They have to create a clear
all button or something. Not force the user to delete things one
20-item page at a time, when it automatically stores hundreds and
thousands of pages. Big design flaw.

Hi David,

You should make your concerns known with the folk at google, they are
generally pretty receptive to feedback.
