clearing a query

I want to find out how to clear a query on a Access 2002 database. The books
say there should be a option in edit menu but it is not there.
 
If you are in a query design view, there is a "Clear Grid" selection in the
Edit menu.

Maybe there is some confusion on what "clearing a query" means. I wouldn't
have a clue.
 
What do you mean by "clear a query"? Do you want to delete the query? In
that case, you can select it and use the Delete key on your keyboard.
 
It wasn't showing up in the menu before but is now. That is why I was asking
on how to bring it up. Don't know why it was not showing up earlier.
