I run on Windows XP Professional and when it starts, I get the login
box, instead of the screen with clickable names (this is not my problem,
though). I want to know if there is a way to make windows clear the
'User' field every time it start, so that the last logged on user isn't
displayed in the 'User' field. Thanks.

I haven't tried it myself, but you can if you want.

Registry key:
HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Parameter: DontDisplayLastUserName
Type: string
Comments: Set this value to 1 to blank last user name in logon dialog.

Note you can save the registry key first by:
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type SaveKey, and then click Save.
Or create a system restore point prior to editing.
Note: If the registry key is not there, you can simply create one by going
edit > new.

OR you could try going into Management Console and telling
it to not to display the last login.

Just go to RUN and type MMC

Under FILE, select ADD/REMOVE SNAP IN.

Select GROUP POLICY.

The POLICY is located under COMPUTER CONFIGURATION -->
WINDOWS SETTINGS --> SECURITY SETTINGS --> LOCAL POLICIES -
->SECURITY OPTIONS.

Double click on INTERACTIVE LOGON: DO NOT DISPLAY LAST NAME

And select ENABLE.

Hope it helps.. Tony

Now here I get lost, I can't find no such thing.
