Clear History / Settings

I have 2 Windows 98 pc's, IE6, that I'm unable to change
the Clear History setting (it's grayed out), and also on
the Tools, Internet Options, General Tab, Temporary
Internet files, I can click on Settings, but then I can't
change any options on that screen (again they are grayed
out). Anyone know of a way to fix this? I suspect it's
causing me a problem accessing some links of some
websites. Thanks.
