Cleaning MS Word docs

Is there some freeware which will take a MS Word document, and strip
from it all the "metadata", including comments and previous versions,
leaving a clean, safe file? If this could be done by a shell extension,
and the file "right-clicked" in explorer, so much the better.

Yes. It's on Microsoft's website
(Not sure about the right button stuff)
 
Er, oops, that leads to the same broken d/l link. Sorry! Next time I'll
look before I leap.
 
And if you don't trust anyone, save to RTF and then save back to DOC.

What I *meant* to say was, save to RTF and then change the file extension
to DOC. :o)
