Tom

I have a 3 year old dell laptop running XP.
It seems to be slowing down a little and available space
seems to be a problem.
I was told to erase temp files, all .tmp, ~*.* and the
contents of windows/prefetch file. Is there any problem
doing this?
Also what else can i use to get rid of all the junk that
keeps adding up without me knowing?
I am a novice so i am a little nervous about erasing
anything important?
Any help would be gratlly appreciated

try deleting any unused fonts. save them in the trash can in case your
system needs them.

get additional memory......sounds like you have a very marginal machine for
XP.....
