Clean up Active Directory

G

gergy

Here is the situation. Had a policy for internet. Some settings needed to
be changed for the Proxy and so on. But the Policy never took effect.
It seems that some users still have old Policy entries still active. I am
using a test user account. and right now is linked to UNLINKED GROUP
POLICY. And my new Policy for the Proxy is setup there for testing. but
logging in as the user, old policy is still in effect.
proxy should be example: 192.168.12.12 and is showing 10.12.

Is there anyway to clean out some old policies that aren't listed anymore?
can this be the issue? or am i not making sense. Working on extreme lack
of sleep. If i don't make sense tell me. I will correct

Hello.

The only why of some GPO Settings is to write over them with a new policy,
how ever in your case it should be fine, at the clients run the command line
based tool gpresult and ensure the policy are listed, how ever gpresult are
not built in at Windows 2000, You can download it here:
