clean reinstall

Hi guys

Having problems with capturing from my sony handycam and
also with outlook express since installing my ADSL modem
and xp SP2.

I have tried uninstalling the modem and that makes do
difference. Tried video capture using a different
program - still has bands across it.

Am I going to have to reinstall XP and start from
scratch?? If so should I do a clean install and how
should I do this??

Did you update the driver?
Did you have any such problem prior to XP SP2 installation?

No problems before. Had the capture going from the
handycam and was burning to DVD. Then I got broadband
and installed a d-link modem, downloaded xp sp2 and that
was it! everytime I try to capture on any program I have
these hoizontal 'bands' that get worse with movement.

Any ideas??
