Hi.

I'm going to go to a new (clean) installation of winXP Pro. Can someone tell
me please, which is the right order (if there is any) to install the
following components?

winXP Pro
SP2
IE 6 SP1
Windows Media Player 9
Windows Movie Maker 2
DirectX 9.0bRedis.
..NET Framework 1.1
highMAT CD Writing Wizard
HTML Help WorkShop 1.3
Norton AV 2003
ZoneAlarm Pro 5.1
QuickTime 6.4
j2re-1_4_04

Also,
What's the best? To first create my dial-up connection and then update IE 6
SP1/winXP SP2, or the opposite?

Thanks.

Hi,

Install WinXP, then SP2 immediately. Do not connect to the internet until
you have done so and the firewall is up and running. I would urge that you
also install NAV before connecting as well. Install remaining software (SP2
will take care of the majority of the Microsoft updates you listed) in any
order.

WinXP Pro
Your Motherboard drivers

SP2

Then the rest!
