classroom PC setup.

I'm setting up 8 PCs - 4 with identical
hardware, others varying. All with XP pro.
Each will have several users, each
with customized desktops, mapped
drives, etc.

All ideally identically set up.

How do I copy settings from one PC
to the others, once it is set up properly.

How to stop users fiddling with the settings?

In such a small scenario, I would consider an unattended setup (because it
is more hardware independent) and using something like the Microsoft Shared
Computer Toolkit..

Your other choice might be to create a universal image - but I think you
would get more flexibility in your situation with an unattended
installation.

You can use "File and Settings Transfer Wizard" from "System Tools". Set the
users accounts to "Limited Account".
