I have two computers with XP Pro. In one of them, I have folders set
up to show last date modified. In the other, my "choose details" is
set up exactly the same, the view is the same, but date-modified does
not display.

Where should I look?
 
OK, let me rephrase the question:


I have two computers with XP Pro. In both of these computers, I am
viewing an identical subdirectory/folder in icon view. In both of
these computers, I have the folder set up. In one of them, I have
folders set to show last date modified. In both of these computers
"choose details" are identical.

But in one computer, I can see the last date modified, and in the
other I can't.

Where should I look?
 
Are you talking about the "Status Bar" displaying information about the
selected file? I can only get "Modified" to display using Detail view.

With one computer, I have next to my icon:

I found a difference, the other computer has small icons, with the
name underneath the icon. I bet if I found the icon size setting I
would find it's different.
