.chm file

I got programs on my computer that i need to read the help files on ,
some of them have .chm (for example: wdshd0415.chm) , type of file:compiled
htm
help file , opens with: Microsoft html help. When i open it its got Action
Canceled. Am i supposed to be able to read these kind of files on my xp home
sp2?

Yes but if I remember correctly, microsoft does not include a seperate
reader. I believe if you do a google for the ext cfm, you may get some hits
on readers that are out there

The compiled Html Help file may be corrupted.

Hi Larry,

Did you download the .CHM file from the web perhaps? If so, right-click on the file, choose "Properties", click "Unblock" and click OK.
