Chkdsk utility

Unable to run XP's check disk utility.
"Volume not accesible.
Found AUTOCHK.EXE in winn32
Cannot open AUTOCHK.EXE it says it cannot run in winn32.
Is it possible to move the file and if how ant to where?

Zone Alarm 5 and Chkdsk is a known problem -see Zone Alarm forums for more
details. A fix is awaited.

A workaround is to uninstall Zone Alarm, run chkdsk and reinstall Zone
Alarm. Some users have opted to revert to a version of Zone Alarm earlier
than 5 until a fix is available.
