chkdsk /f report

Running chkdsk /f at startup 4 times in a row I get the following report:

Cleaning up minor inconsistencies on the drive.
Cleaning up 1 unused index entries from index $SII of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 1 unused index entries from index $SDH of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 1 unused security descriptors.

78116030 KB total disk space.
14701824 KB in 43136 files.
14256 KB in 3395 indexes.
0 KB in bad sectors.
365842 KB in use by the system.
65536 KB occupied by the log file.
63034108 KB available on disk.

I've read two MS articles on this. 255008 tells you to ignore the "cleaning
up" messages, but 327009 suggests getting a hotfix. The hotfix applies to
W2000 and I'm running XP PRO SP2. Questions: 1. Do I have problem with the
HD? 2. If not, if there a way to get rid of the messages?

Thank you.

See what the chkdsk log says.
Start -> Run and enter eventvwr.msc in the Open box.
Note: You can also access Event Viewer through Control Panel ->
Administrative Tools.
In Event Viewer, click on Application in the left hand column.
Look in the right hand pane for a recent entry with Winlogon as the Source
and 1001 for the Event ID .
Double click on the entry to see the results.

See if there are errors, and if so, whether they were fixed.

or, check the HD's manufactures website and ran the manufacturers disk
diagnostics utility.

If there were no problems...

Go here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Read the instructions at the top of the page.
Scroll down to:
82. Disable or Enable Check Disk Upon Boot
Click on Disable.

Thanks, Rey, but if you'll please take another look at my post, I did include
the winlog report. What do you make of those "cleaning up" lines. Do they
indicate problems with the HD? Thanks.
