Running chkdsk /f at startup 4 times in a row I get the following report:
Cleaning up minor inconsistencies on the drive.
Cleaning up 1 unused index entries from index $SII of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 1 unused index entries from index $SDH of file 0x9.
Cleaning up 1 unused security descriptors.
78116030 KB total disk space.
14701824 KB in 43136 files.
14256 KB in 3395 indexes.
0 KB in bad sectors.
365842 KB in use by the system.
65536 KB occupied by the log file.
63034108 KB available on disk.
I've read two MS articles on this. 255008 tells you to ignore the "cleaning
up" messages, but 327009 suggests getting a hotfix. The hotfix applies to
W2000 and I'm running XP PRO SP2. Questions: 1. Do I have problem with the
HD? 2. If not, if there a way to get rid of the messages?
Thank you.
