ChkDsk always runs on startup

Hello
I'm using windowx XP Professional version.
I have two hard drive namely C: and D:
Whenever I boot or reboot my machine, It says
You have to run ChkDsk for D: for inconsisteny problem.
I also checked windows schedular but there is no such
thing I had setup.
Why its always run ChkDsk on startup?
How to solve this?

Go to the hard disk manufacturer's web site and download their diagnostic software
respective to your hard disk. After the test, you will know if the hard disk is bad or
not..
