Chip speed incorrect

I need some advise on getting XP to see the right chip
speed..Ive a 2.0 AMD and XP tells me its a 1.667..My bios
is set correct at 133..If i move it to 166 it see's the
right chip speed but is unstable..My mother board drivers
are up to date as well as my bios..Thanks for any help
provided..

Run this program and report back what it tells you about your CPU:
http://cbid.amdclub.ru/files/cbid72b.zip

This will determine what you should be running everything at. It should
tell you what version XP 2100+ (example) and should run at 1.76 GHz
(example). It will provide quite a bit more info than that as well.
Hopefully this will help figure it out ;)
