Chinese characters in subject

Outlook always substitutes '???' for traditional Chinese characters in
the subject line. I tried changing the font in various places within
the Tools:Options:Mail Format:Fonts to Arial Unicode MS, which contains
the characters but it didnt't help.

I've read this question a lot of times but can't find an answer. I'm
using Windows XP, SP2, Outlook 2003, all English versions.

Thanks.

Hi,

It also depends on the sender's e-mail format. If the sender did not use
proper encoding such as Unicode or Big5, it may also result in the same
problem.

The best shot is both using Unicode and Outlook 2003 is Unicode ready.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help. Actually even if I try to paste Chinese
characters into my contacts list I will get ???. Also, I know it can
work because if the same email is sent to my friend, also using English
Windows XP, it works fine.
