Chinese Character Display in Eng Yahoo Messenger 5.6

Can ANYONE help on the diplay of the Chinese Character
Display in the chat room under English Window 2000 and
Yahoo English Messenger 5.6 . I know that some ppl got it
to work (in W2000), but they don't know the correct
procedure how to do it. BTW, I use IE to get into the
Chinese Chat Room. Thanks
