Child Domain

I currently have a DC running 2000 Server. I have another
PC with 2000 Server that I would like to add on the domain
as a child domain. When I do dcpromo on the new server and
follow the wizard-new domain, child domain, browse for
domain and accept default locations for database, sysvol
and then to allow setup of DNS. The wizard starts to copy
and then stops with error stating the domain does not
appear to have a unique name. Suggests renaming or
reinstall domain.
 
You never mentioned the parent domain name or the child domain name so I
have to ask the obvious, what are their names?
