Hi;

Can I change the trust level of a child domain from transitive (default when
the child was created) to a one-way trust?

First question that comes to mind is: Why? / Are you sure?

It will certainly introduce problems that you should not need to deal with
if you leave it as it is designed to be.

If you REALLY want to do this, use "Active Directory Domains and Trusts" to
explicity break the (auto-created) 2-way transistive trust and manually build
1-way trusts.

I don't believe AD'll let you break the auto-trusts.

So the answer is no; you cannot.
