Child Domain Security

We have created a child domain within our existing forest for a QA/Development test domain. Lets for this example lets say the top level forst domain is A.com and the child is dev.a.com.
I have a security group in A.com called Development. I want to make this security group part of the domain admins group for dev.a.com however when I go into AD users and computers from the AD controller for dev.a.com and try to add them the only items I can see from the top level domain are exchange contacts - no users

When we created the sub domain AD automatically created a Parent/Child Transitive trust
How can I add these users from the parent domain to the domain admin group for the child domain?

You have to do this logged in as a member of Enterprise Admins in the parent
domain.

Yeah, We figured out that we were doing it backwards right after I posted. My mind must already have been in weekend mode. Thanks!
