Chess Titans locks up

Chess Titans locks up as I take my first move?
GeForce 6800 XT 128MB
Samsung 204B @ 1600 x 1200 32Bit "New monitor"

On my old Sony CRT @ 1024 X 768 32Bit it worked jest fine
On my Samsung 204B @ 1600 X 1200 16Bit it works very slow

Do I need a different Video Card and if so what should it have minimum?

You probably need more VRAM - get graphics card with 256 MB or more. Could
be b/c of the resolution and 32 bit color. I have 256 MB DDR video memory
for 19'' widescreen display running at 1440 x 900 resolution @ 32 bit color.
Interestingly enough, Chess Titans and Aero Glass runs fine even though I
have PCI (not PCI express) video card.
