When I open an email message in Outlook 2007 I receive the following:

Outlook could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable.

I also receive the same message after opening word 2007

Did you move your Internet Temp folders to a different drive or change the
configuration for the temp cache?

Check this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders\cache

it should point to %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
(XP)
or %USER PROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp (Vista)

I am getting the same message "outlook could not create the work file. Check
the temp environment variable." This locks up Outlook after this pop up
comes in.
