check names does not recognize contacts

When trying to send a message, some contacts are not recognized. When
contiuing to the "show names from the list" and selcting "Contacts" does not
show the contact. The contact is however present. This problem seems to be
only with new contacts added during the past few months. No difference using
cached mode or not, and occurs both with Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007.

The only conclusion we can draw from this very limited information is that
the Contacts Folder you are displaying in the address book view is not the
one in which said Contact resides. Only you can see if that is the case
since you're there and we aren't.

The other possibility is that the contacts the OP expects to see are in the
correct Contacts folder but don't have valid resolved addresses.

I figured if he were trying to send messages he wouldn't be looking for a
Contact that has no email address.

Thanks for all suggestions
There is only one contacts list in my Outlook.
The email adresses are correct, as I can open a Address Card and send the
mail from there.
The only thing I just thought of is that, as far as I remember, all or most
of the contactc that I am having problems with, were imported vCards (not
entered in Contacts using "New".

Found out why they were not displayed, and opended a new thread to find the
solution to the problem
