I got the message that a file was corrupt and I should
run Checkdisk.

When I ran Checkdisk I got this:

Windows found errors on this disk but will not fix them
because disk checking was run without the /F (fix)
parameter.
\Windows Prefetch\CHKDSK.EXE-2CC4C59D.pt

How do I get my computer to fix this? I cannot even find
Checkdisk under tools...I had to use Run.

Start > My Computer > Right-click on Local Disk (C:) > Tools tab > Error
checking - Check Now button > Place a checkmark in 'Automatically fix file
system errors'. Restart your computer when prompted.

This does not work for a filelength allocation error. Autochk reports no
errors during startup but chkdsk reports the error and recommends the /f
parameter. Chkdsk cannot be run with /f in win32 mode.
