Check box resizing

Checkboxes in Word seem to have a default size (they're tiny!). Any way can
make them bigger? I can make the object bigger (say, to get in more text),
but the 'ticky' box just stays the same size.

You need to change the font size of the checkbox. Note, though, this may
change your line spacing for that line. There are a number of ways to create
and use clickable checkboxes in documents / templates. Some require
protected or locked forms, others do not. Take a look at the Checkbox
template available at
http://www.addbalance.com/word/download.htm#CheckboxAddIn for an exploration
of these.
