Cheap DDR ram doesn't work?

I have three modules of 256mb pc2100 ram and they just won't work in my two
motherboards. Two are Kingston ValueRam, the other is Spectek. (Spectek one
is actually pc2700)

One is an nForce2 board (MSI) and the other (Asrock) has the latest Via
chipset for Athlon XPs. Crucial pc2100, 512mb and 256mb memory sticks, works
just fine in them.

Can anyone recommend an Athlon XP motherboard that will work with these
three modules? I will even consider Intel. I would like to make use of all
this memory!

Thanks
Rick

Have you checked the MSI docs on this? ISTR that for Kingston memory,
there was a period where Kingston withdrew their "approval" for some
AthlonXP mbrds. I also seem to remember a note somewhere that bumping the
voltage to 2.75V or so would help.

An Intel mbrd which supports an AthlonXP?... interesting idea.:)
