CHDSK AND DEFRAG NOT WORKING.....

EVERYTIME I RUN CHDSK, CHKDSK /F, CHKDSK /R...IT RUNS QUICK AND SHOWS ALOTT
OF ERRORS...ALSO WHEN I TRY TO REBOOT AND RUN IT ..IT WON'T ...PLUS MY
DEFRAG. WILL NOT WORK...SAYS DISC IS SCHEDULED FOR SOMETHING.

Boot to the XP setup CD, and press 'r' for recovery console, run the command : CHKDSK /R

in recovery console, if chkdsk /p followed by fixboot dont work then try
chkdsk /r and if it too does not work, try installing XP in a different
partition in ur hdd and back up[ ur data after that, and then do a complete
Format and reinstall.
