What is the best way to add a "live" chatroom to a fp2002
webpage?

Check with your hosting company.
Some have chat programs that you can configure from your account Control
panel.

If you don't have one from your provider you can check out www.aimoo.com
and start your own Message Board and Chat Room that you can link to from
your website. I have one setup with one of the pages I manage, and the
users love it. Very easy to use, manage and customize.
