characters turn into ? marks

In my IE6 browser, various characters including '...', '-' turn into '?'
when rendered in IE6. This just started recently and it is annoying.
Looking at the 'Source', everything is normal. Any ideas?
 
Note that this is just under my login (XP Home)... other logins don't have
this behavior.
