I'm palnning to buy an IBM T42 laptop. the only problem is that this
specific laptop comes with a hungarian version of win xp pro, and i want to
swich it totaly into english (i don't know a word in hungarian).
1)Is it posible to change this specific version to an english one?
2)if so then how?
3)If it's not posible than is it posible to just instal a new windows
program (an english one) insted of the one present?
4) Is the instalation in a laptop any diffrent then in a regular p.c.?
5)would it effect the laptop in any kind of way?

and that is about it.... i know that these are lots of qustions, but i just
don't have a clue and i don't want to risk all of my money in somthing that i
wouldn't be able to use.
thanks alot

1,2) You can not replace a different language XP with the English version.
You will have to reformat and install the English version yourself. You
will have to buy the English XP separately.

3) Some English applications may not instal on a non-English XP version

4) There is no difference between install XP on a regular PC or on a
laptop.

5) Normally, there would not be any problems with the English XP on the
laptop. However, depending on the laptop maker you may have:
a) Problems locating English laptop management utility and drivers
b) No warranty on the laptop. Several makers only warrant the
PC/laptop with the original version of XP that was delivered on the PC.

Then purchase an English version of XP and install it fresh.
